JOIN US FOR A FREE PILATES SESSION, BYO BABY!

Something we are really passionate about in our women’s health program is helping women return to exercise after they have had a baby. Our Mums and Bubs classes are designed particularly to address those parts of your body that need to improve after having a baby. That’s most likely pelvic floor, abdominal muscle separation, strength of the legs of the glute muscles but also the arms to enable you to lift your baby and do what you need to do as a Mum.

Join us on Saturday 17th Feb at The Manly Health and Wellness Day at 9.30am for a fun pilates session designed by a Women's Health Physiotherapist with specialised training in pelvic floor rehabilitation and exercise in post-natal women. Babies are of course welcome!

About Your Women's Health Physiotherapists

Ava Loiskandl
Physiotherapist

Amy Clements
Women's Health Physiotherapist

Ava grew up in Canada participating in any sport she could get her hands on. Her extensive sport and exercise background eventually led her down to Australia where she completed her Master of Physiotherapy from the University of Sydney, following her completion of a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from Dalhousie University. She has also completed specialized training in Clinical Pilates with the Australian Physiotherapy & Pilates Institute, and Women’s and Pelvic Health through the Australian Physiotherapy Association.

Throughout her career Ava has found a passion for empowering individuals on their journey to recovery and success. She takes an individualized approach in making sure goals are met while helping her patients to move better and with greater confidence. In addition, she believes in empowering individuals with self management tools and education to better understand how their body functions and how we cope with injuries.

Ava now calls Sydney home having fallen in love with the city’s endless natural beauty and far superior coffee culture. Outside of work, Ava can be found in a Pilates class, taking a dip in the ocean, or dabbling in her latest sporting endeavor.

Amy completed her Physiotherapy degree at The University of Sydney in 2004 and has more recently achieved a Masters in Public Health. She has extensive experience in musculoskeletal and sports physiotherapy, and since starting her own family has developed a keen interest in Women’s Health Physiotherapy. Amy is passionate about the positive impact that Women’s Health Physiotherapy can have on the quality of life of women across all life stages.

Amy is trained in Clinical Pilates and has been teaching classes and integrating clinical exercise techniques into her patient management for more than a decade.

Amy provides physiotherapy management for pre-and post-natal women, incontinence, pelvic floor issues, bladder problems, pelvic pain and other musculoskeletal conditions.

Outside of work you will find Amy spending time with her family, going to the beach or reading a good book.
